The newly released update for the Android app of Beeper was announced by the creator of the service, Eric Migicovsky, on X. As we said above, it is an update that introduces a significant number of new features. Let’s go and see them together:

  • OLED mode which makes the graphical interface totally black.
  • Mode introduced multi-pane on tablets.
  • Messages will now be cached locally, which should greatly improve the loading times of chats.
  • It will be possible add or edit chat networks connected directly from the app, without going through the desktop version of Beeper.
  • Here comes search through messages. The search also works among all the networks connected to Beeper, i.e. among the different connected messaging platforms.
  • Message thread supported on all Beeper compatible messaging platforms.

The update just described is currently underway automatic distribution through the Play Store, below you will find the direct button to check if you have received it.

We remind you that, for those who are new to Beeper, access to the platform is subject to a more or less long waiting list based on the requests received.

Download from Play Store

The update we have just described concerns the classic version by Beeper, the first to be launched. Beeper Mini, the one launched later and that it caused an uproar the world of messaging especially because it promised to replace iMessage in all respects to bring it to Android, was most likely closed because of heavy blocks imposed by apple.
