BYD launches the new Dolphin EV: the new winning weapon in the EV market?

The Chinese car manufacturer BYD has just launched a new car that looks as good as possible new winning weapon for the company in the electric car market.

We’re talking about the new one BYD Dolphin EVan electric car that comes with very interesting features and a launch price which is even more inviting.

In fact, the new Dolphin EV has a starting price of around 13,900 dollars (i.e approximately 12,800 euros) and offers autonomy of 302 km with its basic model. Four versions of the new car are arriving, let’s go and see them together:

• Dolphin EV Vitality: declared autonomy of 302 km, 32 kW battery, launch price equal to the equivalent of approximately 12,800 euros.
• Dolphin EV Free: declared autonomy of 420 km, 45 kW battery, launch price equal to the equivalent of approximately 14,600 euros.
• Dolphin EV Fashion: declared autonomy of 420 km, 45 kW battery, launch price equal to the equivalent of approximately 15,600 euros.
• Dolphin EV Knight: declared autonomy equal to 401 km, 45 kW battery, launch price equal to the equivalent of approximately 16,800 euros.

In short, it seems clear that one of the strong points most significant of the new model presented by BYD lies precisely in the extremely competitive price, especially if we consider the average prices of the electric car sector.

The new Dolphin EV has a length of 4,125 mma width of 1,770 mm and a height of 1,570 mm. For comparison, the car is slightly smaller than Volkswagen’s ID.3. BYD’s new electric model retains much of its design, including the “Dolphin” eye LED headlights. The honor Edition model includes a new 16-inch five-hole floral wheel and two new colors.

Speaking of interiors, we find a wireless charger 50W, a new charging port USB-C and front seats ventilated. We also find the 12.8″ rotatable screen and the 5″ instrument display.

At the moment the company has not yet communicated details of the availability of the new Dolphin EV in Europe. We will return to update you as soon as we know more, including on prices which at the moment do not reflect European ones.
