Galaxy AI isn’t just for phones: coming to these earbuds too
One of the most distinctive characteristics of the Galaxy S24 it is the fact of being equipped with the functionality Galaxy AIwhich allow for example to translate calls in real time e to summarise the pages of a site (in case you missed our review of Samsung’s latest top, you can find it here).
But the Seoul company has much greater ambitions, and yesterday announced that some of these features will overcome the limits of smartphones and they will arrive on the last ones earphones of the company.
Indeed, they have already arrived, because a OTA update which brings the translation And the Interpreter in real time on Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Buds2 And Galaxy Buds FE.
But not only. Samsung also said that these two features will work directly on the Galaxy Buds, so one isn’t necessary Internet connection activate to use them.
Real-time translation allows users to see real-time call translation on screens of Galaxy S24 phones when speaking via Galaxy BudsWhile the Interpreter “provides seamless two-way interpreting through the Galaxy Buds interface“.
With this function, the conversations live can be translated instantly and viewed on a split screen, so the interlocutors, facing each other, they can read a verbatim transcript of what the other person said.
With this update, there will be no need to pass the telephone at hand, as long as users have both Galaxy S24 and Buds.
In our review, we noted that the translation it’s not really optimal, as there is a bit of delay and the voice sounds robotics, so we have to see if it will be different with the Galaxy Buds.
In a press note, Samsung said: “Users can speak directly into the microphone [dei Buds] and their translated voice will now be available via the series Galaxy S24 enabling a near-natural conversation between two individuals holding the Galaxy S24 series smartphone and Galaxy Buds respectively, eliminating the need to hand over the phone and manage translated conversations“.
These Galaxy AI features are currently rolling out for the Galaxy Buds in India through an OTA and are expected to reach other markets soon.
