It just seems like it’s for the new one iPhone 16Apple is moving towards a return of vertical arrangement of the rear cameras, and according to previews leaked online for a good reason (Looking for a way to improve your iPhone photos? Check out our suggestions!).

Different leak coming from different sources agree in fact on the return to the past for the new iPhones, with cameras wide angle (main) e ultra wide angle (secondary) aligned vertically as in the iPhone 12. Unlike these, however, they are inserted in a smaller block in the shape of a pill, which vaguely resembles that of the iPhone flash moved outside, a bit like what happened with the iPhone XR.

This design remained consistent throughout the prototyping process, and was observed by both MacRumors that gives Majin Buua leaker very active on the Apple front (image below).

According to some analysts, this design does not represent exclusively one stylistic choicebut it would help Apple to bring it to non-Pro models spatial video recording (to see the contents on Vision Pro).

The function, now exclusive to iPhone 15 Proaccording to some it would not in fact be possible with an arrangement of the cameras in diagonal, like that of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

But this is not the only news coming. As we already anticipated a couple of months ago, Apple is thinking of bringing two new buttons to the iPhone 16, the key Action and a new button Capture.

According to the prototypes, the Action button should be similar to the one currently used on iPhone 15 Pro. Apple had experimented with a larger solution (and not physical but capacitive), but it seems that it is moving towards a more approach conservative. The big news, however, will be the new Capture button (Capture button) capacitive.

This key would be flush with the chassis, on the right edge of the device, and would be pressure sensitive. The button, known internally by its code name Project Novawill feature a force sensor in addition to the functionality of “touch switching“, even if it is not yet clear what it means and above all what it is for.

We reiterate that these remain prototypes and nothing is decided yet. Apple develops several designs and things could change in the coming months, but this design seems like the one it’s moving forward with greater conviction.
