Midjourney Launches Website: AI Image Generation for Everyone
Midjourney , one of the most popular AI -powered image generation services , has announced a major breakthrough: its website is now accessible to all users , not just the more experienced ones as before.
For those who aren’t familiar, Midjourney is an AI service that generates images from text descriptions. Users enter a “prompt” and the AI creates images based on that description, using deep learning models trained on vast amounts of data. It can produce a variety of artistic styles and is very popular among creatives and hobbyists.
David Holz, co-founder and CEO of Midjourney, said anyone can now visit the service’s website, create an account, and start generating images . To incentivize new users, the company is offering the ability to create about 25 images for free as a trial .
Initially, Midjourney was only accessible via a bot on Discord. After much pressure, the company launched a website late last year, but it was limited to users who had already generated at least 10,000 images on Discord. This new opening marks a significant step forward in the accessibility of the service. To help new users, Midjourney shared a video tutorial on X (formerly Twitter), showing how to use the service . Here’s the post below.

Users can sign up using a Google or Discord account , with Holz recommending existing users continue using Discord to maintain their image history.
Once logged in, the modus operandi is the classic one of other AI-based generative services: users can enter text prompts into an input field to have images generated. The system shows how many free images remain, with the total number varying based on the complexity of the generated creations.
After the free trial period, users will need to purchase a subscription to continue generating images . Midjourney offers four plans, with the cheapest, Basic Plan, starting at $10 per month (or $96 per year) up to the Mega Plan at $96 per month. To have no image generation limits, you must have at least the Standard Plan at $24 per month. Want to try it? All you have to do is go to this link and log in through one of the available options.
