Bad surprise for some Samsung users: Android Auto no longer works after updating to Android 14
Sometimes, be among the first to update i telephones it’s not always a good thing. It is the case of Android 14which apparently, at least for some Samsung smartphones, seems to have had a negative effect with the connection wireless to Android Auto.
In fact, according to a support forum of Google inundated with complaints from device owners Galaxyfollowing the update to One UI 6.0 with the latest version of the green robot, users are no longer able to use their phone with Google’s vehicle interface, at least using the link without cables.
According to user testimonies, the connection occurs at first, but then it disconnects and the phone, verbatim “keeps connecting and disconnecting cyclically“.
The bugswhich was first reported on November 28, is quite widespread (currently there are 216 users who clicked on the button I have the same problem – I have the same question), and the common denominator is a Galaxy device (such as Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy S23 series) just updated to Android 14.
And, given the pace at which Samsung is updating phones, we imagine that affected users have increased considerably in recent weeks, and will only grow. In fact, let’s remember that at the moment they are over 40 the devices Galaxy updated.
A man immediately intervened on the issue responsible of the company, which after the usual ritual questions recognized the bug and claimed to have forwarded it to the technical team.
At the moment, however, there isn’t one yet solution and although the bug appeared on the known issues page of Android Auto updated on December 25th (along with the same problem for all devices updated to Android 14, which means that it is a problem affecting not only Galaxys), it is indicated as Work in progress.
Until a solution arrives, therefore, if you are unable to connect your Galaxy to Android Auto in wireless mode you have to go back to the wired connection, which will work without problems (net of other bugs).
In any case, carry on follow us, because we will notify you as soon as Google releases the fix.
