TerraMaster presents the new F4-424 NAS: the most powerful there is

Now the Chinese company has presented three products for 2024, two equipped with 4 slots, F4-424 And F4-424 Pro, and one of 2, F2-424, but above all it is the model Pro to impress, with its Intel Core i3 processor and RAM of up to 32 GB. Let’s go find out.

The new TerraMaster F4-424 Pro NAS stands out for its very high capacities, which make it ideal for corporate environments that require greater processing power and multitasking.
Unlike the F2-424 and F4-424 models, which offer a 4-core Intel Celeron N95 CPU, this model is in fact equipped with a Intel Core i3 N300 8-core processor that offers a turbo frequency of 3.8 GHz. This means faster processing and more efficient handling of data-intensive tasks.
The device supports both 3.5” SATA hard drives and 2.5” SATA SSD drives, ensuring great versatility in the choices of storage media, while as regards connectivity we have two 2.5GbE network ports for data transfer speeds of up to 283 MB/s, while the Link Aggregation feature offers network bandwidth of up to 5 Gb, ideal for multi-user file access.
The inclusion of the door HDMI It also allows for direct media playback, a particularly useful feature in home entertainment setups, while USB and Ethernet ports provide the versatility needed in modern connected environments.
To facilitate the installation of M.2 SSDs, TerraMaster has specially designed one sliding cover side for the chassis, while the screws can be tightened by hand, which allows you to install an SSD in just 5 seconds
Another one characteristic extremely interesting of the NAS F4-424 Pro is the new structure TerraMaster with the incorporation of shock absorption solutions and special sound-absorbing panels to minimize noise. This results in 50% lower standby noise than previous generations, and a standby noise level of only 21dB(A).
As for the software part, the new TerraMaster NAS are equipped with the latest system TOS (which will soon be updated to version 6) which integrates functions storage managementsuch as TerraSync, Centralized Backup, Duple Backup, Snapshot, CloudSync, TFM Backup and more, the application virtualization (like VirtualBox and Docker) and the exclusive TRAID, offering users optimized and flexible disk array management solutions.
In addition to the latter, F4-424 Pro still supports different types of RAID, such as 0/1/5/6/10/JBOD and Single.

The new NAS F4-424 Pro is available at the price of 729.99 euros on the TerraMaster website, while the less performing models, more suited to domestic needs, F2-424 And F4-424cost 399.99 and 549.99 euros respectively.
