Sora videos for everyone: OpenAI promises its arrival in 2024, with some surprises
Artificial intelligence is increasingly around us, and OpenAI prepares a new and important step for generative AI. Let’s talk about Sorathe AI that will allow you to generate videos starting from text input.
We got a taste of its potential earlier this year, and now we’re back to talking about why OpenAI has come out into the open regarding his debut to the general public.
In fact, until now access to Sora has been granted exclusively to selected categories of users, such as visual artists, designers and filmmakers. Mira Murati, Chief Technology Officer of OpenAI, gave an interview to The Wall Street Journal declaring that Sora will be available to everyone this year.
Murati does not hide the fact that they will still be there a few months to see Sora within everyone’s reach. OpenAI is still working on generative AI for video, perfecting its functioning. But for its public debut there could be a feature that we hadn’t seen yet.
Murati has in fact declared that it will be possible in the future also add the audio content to videos generated with Sora’s artificial intelligence.
This will obviously contribute significantly to degree of realism of the content generated by Sora.
Apart from this, OpenAI also aims to empower users with edit and customize video content generated with Sora, another aspect that should significantly increase its appeal. The topic was also addressed during the interview of training of Sora: Murati did not detail on which contents the AI is training, confirming however that in terms of images Sora’s machine learning is based on the contents of Shutterstocka company with which OpenAI has established a partnership.
In any case, Sora’s training has taken place and is taking place with publicly available data or licensed. We can therefore imagine the possibility that Sora is training with video content publicly available on various platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
