Apple has started releasing the first update (although in beta) for Vision Pro: VisionOS 1.1 introduces various bugfixes, as well as the ability to reset the device.

Among the changes, there is one better management of 3D objects, which it is now possible to get closer to. In Vision Pro, the interface elements found in augmented reality disappear when the user gets too close and passes through them: however, some users had encountered problems with AR games, because the three-dimensional objects disappeared when the user was still relatively far away.

Another important improvement concerns Personas, i.e. the avatars that are used to show the user’s face during video calls. Personas were one of the aspects that had been most criticized in the first reviews of Vision Pro: on the other hand, it is a function that is admittedly still in beta (even now), but the first VisionOS update has already started to make some patches.

VisionOS 1.1 requires you to re-scan your face for Persona, and as you can see from the images included in the tweet above, the result improves significantly.
