Do you want to replace Google Assistant with ChatGPT? Here’s how to do it!
OpenAI, the company that develops ChatGPT, is already working to ensure that its chatbot can become the default assistant on Android, thus replacing Google Assistant, Bixby, or whoever, depending on the user’s wishes. However, this possibility is not yet active, but for those who don’t want to wait, or for those who just want to try, it is there VoiceGPT.
Developed by WSTxda, VoiceGPT is a simple app that actually acts like shortcut. You can set her as the default assistant, and she will launch ChatGPT instead, obviously automatically and quickly (after installing the ChatGPT app on your smartphone). This way you can invoke ChatGPT in the same way you used Assistant, i.e. with a long press on the power / home button, or with a swipe from one of the lower corners of the screen.
The app does just that, no need no permissionand it is also FOSS, so anyone can examine the code: don’t take any risks! Obviously the native support that OpenAI is working on should be improvebecause at the moment ChatGPT is limited in functionality compared to Assistant, and cannot interact much with the operating system like Google Assistant does.
In any case, even just to try, find VoiceGPT ready to download on GitHub.
