Apple will update all iPads in 2024, including iPad Pro with OLED display

Apple will not update its iPads this year due to some problems encountered by the production. In this regard, the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo declared that the Cupertino company will renew its tablets directly in 2024with the introduction of new models of iPad Air (including a version with a 12.9-inch display), iPad Pro with OLED display, iPad mini and a new, cheaper entry-level iPad.

Furthermore, Kuo always predicted that Apple overall will ship approximately 52/54 million unitsa slight increase from the 50 million estimated this year and well below the peak reached in 2022, when the company shipped 63 million tablets. As for launch timing, Kuo expects the range iPad Air will be updated in the first quarter of 2024: the 10.9″ version will be updated and a 12.9″ version introduced. The tipster, among other things, added that the iPad Air will still use LCD panels (albeit updated with a new oxide backplane).

In the second quarter of 2024, however, the new generation of iPad Pro should debut. They will feature a redesigned chassis, the latest Apple M3 processor and an OLED display (this is an absolute novelty on a Cupertino tablet). Finally, in the second half of the year, Apple will update the low end of its tablet range with the new versions of the iPad mini and the basic iPad model (11th generation).
