Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim Really Exists and Is Coming Soon: First Certifications
Behind the scenes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 presentation is a third : the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim , a thinner and lighter version of the Fold. The Korean giant’s plans for this new device have remained unclear, but now things are starting to become more defined. In recent weeks, rumors have emerged about the dimensions , materials and even the launch date , which could be close: we’re talking about September 25.
And now comes a further confirmation that points straight to a debut as early as next month: Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, in fact, has been certified by the Safety Korea Certification body . The smartphone would correspond to the model number SM-F958N (the internal code name would instead be Q6A). The certification itself does not reveal any data of particular interest, but it is a sign that the product is approaching commercialization.
We don’t even know what Samsung has decided to call it right now: “Slim” is simply a suffix we use to indicate its peculiarity, namely a slimmer profile than that of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. And it’s not clear what the marketing plans are: rumors say this special version could only arrive in some Asian markets, and in China it could be called the Samsung Galaxy W25.
On the other hand, we do have some more indications of what to expect: this version of the Fold should have larger displays, with the outer one measuring 6.5 inches and the inner one measuring 8 inches , and a folded thickness of around 11 mm (versus the 12.1 mm of the Galaxy Z Fold 6).
Some information has also emerged on the photographic sector: the external selfie cam should be 10 MP, the ultra-wide angle on the rear 12 MP and the UPC sensor hidden under the display could go from 4 to 5 MP. If the launch is really close as it seems, however, the picture will soon be completed with the official presentation.
