Google responds by being present at CES in Las Vegas, the well-known technology fair that is held every year in the United States and where all the big tech manufacturers participate to show their innovations.

We have seen how Google has renewed Android Auto with some interesting new features, and now let’s talk about the new features from Google which instead concern the smartphone world (here is the collection with the best smartphones of the moment). BigG in fact just has confirmed one of the most consistent rumors of the last few weeks.

Nearby Sharethe feature for quickly sharing files wirelessly that in Italy we know as Nearby Sharing, officially changes its name to QuickShare.

The functionality that was born as the natural antagonist of AirDrop for the Android world it therefore takes the name of the same type of functionality present on Samsung devices, namely Quick Share.

Google explicitly reported that it had collaborated with Samsung in the rebranding of Nearby Share.

The hypothesis, second Mishaal Rahman, is that Google has integrated its Nearby Share SDK into Samsung’s Quick Share client. This would allow a perfect compatibility between all devices that were previously interconnected with one of the two services.

Google also reported that with Quick Share it will be possible to quickly share files between Android devices and Chromebooks. And that’s it collaborating with LG to integrate Quick Share as a pre-installed app on Windows PCs. In reality we already know how to use the newly created Quick Share on Windows PC.

The new name for Nearby Share should be here to go from next monthwhen we expect an update via the server after which we will read Quick Share when sharing.
