Pro-ject launches T2W, the first (and expensive) Wi-Fi turntable

Project he threw T2Wa turntable that aims to combine the analogue reproduction of vinyl with the practicality of digital. In particular, it is a belt-driven turntable, equipped with a 9-inch aluminum tonearm and Sumiko MM phono cartridge, with electronic speed control. The wireless module, therefore, allows you to stream the vinyl to all the devices connected to the network. Everything is then managed via the app Pro-Ject Control.

As already mentioned above, T2W is also equipped with 9″ straight aluminum arm with integrated shell, glass platter and Sumiko Rainer head. However, the real innovation is the use of WiFi, given that T2W does not use Bluetooth but rather a wireless technology that allows the simultaneous sending of signals with resolution up to 24 bit/48 kHz in lossless FLAC format to various UPnP/DLNA devices. However, there is no lack of “lossy” transmission to ensure compatibility with a greater number of devices (a second transmission mode is available for Apple and Bluesound systems).

The Pro-ject T2W turntable is available in three colors – white, black and walnut – and is on sale in the best specialized shops at the retail price of €999.
