2024 is about to begin and Samsung already has some novelty ready for its users. We’re not just talking about the arrival of the new Galaxy S24, but about one functionality which will involve many smartphones from the Korean company.

The Galaxy S24 will bring with them a breath of freshness, including One UI 6.1, which thanks toartificial intelligence it could be one support tool crucial in everyday life, because it will be able to help with notes, calls and even with battery management.

In fact, this function of battery health protection it will be present in One UI 6.1, but it will also be possible to see it on other smartphones on which it is active One UI 6.0. The leaker took care of revealing it Tarun Vats with a post on Xwhere he explains that you need to download the Activity Launcher app from the Play Store, in which you search for “Battery Protection Activity” and activate it.

Once started, it will give the possibility to choose between three options:

  • Basic protection : allows you to charge the smartphone up to 100%, after which charging stops and starts again when the battery has dropped to 95%. This process repeats until the device is disconnected from the charger.
  • Adaptive protection : Allows you to charge the battery normally up to 80%, while the remaining 20% is charged more slowly and so that your smartphone is at 100% when you wake up. Obviously, it is an option that should be used when you usually charge the device overnight, so that the function can learn the user’s habits day after day.
  • Maximum protection : allows you to charge your smartphone up to 80% and, once the goal is reached, it stops. This may not seem like the best solution, because it never returns the device to full charge, but it is the best way to maintain battery health for longer.

It should be remembered that this is not yet an official feature, therefore it may not work properlybut it gives hope for the arrival of One UI 6.1 in the first months of 2024, even for those who thought they would be left out of some new features.
