Samsung’s budget foldable may not see the light of day, at least for now

In recent weeks, rumors have become increasingly insistent about Samsung’s desire to launch an economical leaflet. In this regard, however, the company has denied this hypothesis. In particular, a Korean publication reported the statement of a spokesperson for the Korean company who said: “Samsung will not produce foldable phones with a mid-range price. The latest rumors are unfounded.”

This indiscretion was spread by TrendForcewho had analyzed the leaflet market through a report, and by the tipster Tech_Reve on X (formerly Twitter). The latter, among other things, had also added that the alleged device would have been sold at a price between 400 and 500 dollars. In any case, Samsung has repeatedly tried to lower the prices of its foldables, however the Z series is still made up of premium smartphones, with specifications too high to allow a lower selling price.

Regardless of any discussion, the Korean company seems to have been quite clear about the launch of an economical leaflet.

Some doubts, however, remain, also because the company spokesperson reportedly added “There is nothing decided on the matter”. Therefore, at most this could mean that the company would also have thought about this project which, however, is far from materialising. According to what is known to date, therefore, anyone who wants to buy a Samsung leaflet will have to pay well over 500 dollars.
