Telegram on Vision Pro is worth trying even just for the animated stickers

As the market launch date of Vision Pro approaches, the headset for augmented / mixed reality of Apple, the major developers are preparing theirs app for the new platform thanks to the visionOS SDK.

It is the case of Telegram, so just yesterday the founder Pavel Durov he shared on his personal channel a demo video of how it will appear on visionOS. And it looks truly phenomenal, even just for the sticker (do you know how to create stickers on Telegram?).

In the short term videolasting a few seconds, we can appreciate the opening of the app, which as with all visionOS icons animates and rises a little when it comes selected with your gaze. To start it, you will need a touch of your fingers.

The interface it is semi-transparent with a gradient effect for the panel conversation selected, which allows you to increase the sense of depth.

The main window is similar to the one for macOS, with the various ones on the left chat with the users and on the right the contents of the selected conversation, but it differs in some aspects.

First of all, the selection icons for Contacts, Recent calls, Chat And Settings they are not at the bottom, but on the left in a separate sidebar.

Like all native apps for visionOS (and not those imported from iOS / iPadOS) some Telegram elements they are in 3Da detail that can be appreciated by changing point of view.

Also when search a user (an operation that can also be done via voice), the saved contacts will be highlighted at the top with a pleasant three-dimensional effectand also when you play a video this comes out of the interface to become more engaging.

Messages can be composed via voice dictationand for the rest you can expect all the main mobile app features. But there is one aspect that immediately catches the eye: the new ones AR animated stickers. We know how much Telegram cares about this feature, and in the app for visionOS they go outside the edges of the app and they animate the entire field of vision with a truly spectacular effect.

Durov assured that the app follows all the guidelines of visionOS design and although it has not released details on the release timing, we can expect that it will be ready, like many others, for the launch of the headset, which should take place in early 2024. You can see the video of the app on Durov’s Telegram channel, here.
