The dream network really exists: 1.2 Terabits per second “stable and reliable”!

Huawei and China Mobile have created what is today one of the fastest networks in the world: 3,000 kilometersfrom Beijing to southern China, with a band “stable and reliable” Of 1.2 terabits per second. It is therefore not just a question of nominal speed, made to break a record, but of guaranteeing it over time, which is very different (and more significant).

The first tests began this summer and the outcome has now been confirmed by months of testing. Furthermore, the network was created entirely with domestic technologies, probably more out of necessity than virtue; the fact is that it is another way of reiterating technological independence of the country from the USA (and beyond).

In fact, in February 2023, Nokia had already announced that it had achieved a similar speed on a fiber optic network in Europe of 118 kilometers. Huawei’s record is therefore a double whammy, of which the company is very proud. However, the commercial repercussions are another matter, which we will have to address another time.
