In the last year Google has significantly accelerated the distribution of Material Youimplementing his design language both on their smartphone apps and in online services. The latest update concerns the platform for the extensions of the most used browser in the world: the Chrome Web Store (do you already know how to add extensions on Chrome?).
However, this new interface is not entirely new, given that it was already shown in a preview limited (we talked about it here), but from today it is finally available for everyone. Let’s see in particular what has changed.
In addition to the aforementioned implementation of Material You, it is possible to note how it was redesigned the interface to facilitate readability, navigation and search for extensions and themes of Chrome. Scrolling below the collection for main categories and suggestionswe will find some new categories of extensions such as those based on artificial intelligence and those dedicated to shopping (like Keepa) in addition to others based on own interests and downloaded previously.
Finally the search bar it is now found top right on the screen, for quicker access, e brings with it some improvements. In fact, it is now possible to make one more in-depth research filtering by all featured items, extensions, or themes.
