Threads finally pleases users with a required setting right from the start

In particular, Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, shared a post on Threads where he revealed that it will now be possible to delete your Threads account without deleting your Instagram account. The two accounts, therefore, they now work independently. To carry out this operation you will need:

• Open the Threads application;
• Access settings:
• Look for the Disable or Delete option;
• Choose one of these two options: Deactivate profile or Delete profile.

In this regard, deactivating the account, unlike deletion, does not delete any data.

In fact, this option makes the profile invisible to others until it is reactivated. Furthermore, Mosseri announced another important news. Specifically, in recent times you may have noticed that Threads shows posts from its users on Facebook and Instagram in order to promote the platform. Not all users are happy about this, especially since it could be an invasion of privacy. The app, therefore, has finally received a new setting that will allow users to choose not to be present outside the platform. This new option can be enabled by accessing Settings and then the Thread Privacy section.
