Google Photos will help you create reminders on Calendar: here’s how

Google Photos is among the most used applications for the management of photos and videos on your smartphone. In the last period the Mountain View company has already worked on a considerable number of innovations and does not seem to want to limit itself in the future (do you already know how to use the Magic Eraser on any phone?).

In fact, as reported by TheSpAndroid, Google Photos is preparing to introduce one with the next updates new reminder feature with integration to the Calendar app. Specifically, thanks to this innovation, the user will be able to select a specific image from their gallery and transform the ”photo memo” in an event to save on the calendar.

To use this function, simply view the image in question from the gallery and then click on the button “Set reminder” which will appear as a pop-up at the bottom of the screen. Once selected, the classic interface for creating a reminder in Google Calendar will appear, also adding a link to the selected image from the gallery.

This possibility is limited in the sun images that include text or a date but at the moment it does not seem possible to automatically extract information from the image itself, but nothing can be ruled out before the actual release.

From what has emerged, Google is working on this innovation for some time but it was possible to activate the function only in the most recent updates. Specifically, the version of the app covered is 6.61.
