Samsung humiliates the competition: Android 14 coming to these smartphones

Samsung has announced the upcoming release of One UI 6 based on Android 14 on a series of smartphones mid range and not only that, immediately starting to distance itself from the competition that was trying to keep up with the Korean company.

The November 17 Galaxy A34 5G will be updated, while the November 20th it will be the turn of the Galaxy S22 series (i.e. S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra) and Galaxy A54 5G. These are the main innovations that One UI 6 will bring with it:

• New look for your Galaxy: New button layout, instant access to the full Quick Panel, quick access to brightness control, improved album art display, improved notification layout, more vivid notification icons, notifications sorted by time.
• Lock screen: Reposition the watch.
• Home screen: Simplified icon names, drag and drop with two fingers.
• Multitasking: Keep pop-up windows open.
• Samsung keyboard: New emoji design.
• Content sharing: preview images.
• Weather forecast: new weather widget, more information in the Weather application, interactive map view, improved illustrations.
• Camera: simple and intuitive design, custom camera widgets, more alignment options for watermarks, easily scan documents, quick access to resolution settings, easier video size options, keep your images level, quality optimization, new Automatic FPS settings for videos, disable swipe down/up to switch cameras, apply effects easier.
• Gallery: Quick edits in detail view, drag and drop with two fingers, save cropped images as stickers, improved history view.
• Photo editor: Improved layout, change decorations after saving, undo and redo, draw custom stickers, new backgrounds and text styles.
• Studio (video editor): More efficient video editing, timeline layout, save and edit projects.
• Video player: Improved layout, improved playback speed controls.
• Samsung Health: A new look for the Home screen, custom water container sizes.
• Calendar: Your schedule at a glance, view your reminders in Calendar, move events with 2 fingers.
• Memorandum: Improved reminder list view, new reminder categories, more options for creating reminders, create reminders throughout the day.
• Samsung Internet: Play videos in the background, improved tab list view for large screens, move bookmarks and tabs with two fingers.
• Smart selection: resize the added content or extract the text, enlarged view.
• Bixby text calls: Switch to Bixby during a call.
• Methods and routines: Change the look of the lock screen, new conditions, new actions.
• Smart tips: new look, better customization options.
• Finder: Quick actions for applications.
• Archive: Free up storage space, built-in trash can with Gallery and voice recorder, copy files with two fingers.
• Samsung Pass: more secure access with passkeys.
• Settings: Smarter airplane mode, easier access to battery settings, blocks security threats.
• Accessibility: Greater findability of Visual Enhancements, new zoom options, customize cursor thickness, more accessibility information.
• Digital well-being: Improved layout, more content in your weekly report.

In short, they are missing very few days upon release, which we will then confirm for each individual model when it is actually made available.
