Samsung launches the first smartphones with Key Island: here’s what it is

Among the smartphone manufacturers always at the center of attention we certainly find Samsung, the South Korean company that launches practically all year round new products in this sector.

The new top of the range models, i.e. the models in the series, will arrive at the beginning of next year Galaxy S24but before this 2023 ends definitively we have the opportunity to see some new and particular things entry-level models.

We are talking about Galaxy A15 And Galaxy A25, two medium-low range devices, which arrive on the market with a never-seen design feature. We are talking about what Samsung presented as Key Island.

Such Key Island is a design element relating to the side profile of Samsung smartphones. Basically it is one recess of the side profile corresponding to the volume and power buttons. This indentation would be applied to both sides. Samsung presented it as a feature that should improve grip on smartphones.

So there wouldn’t be no software functions connected, as is the case with the Dynamic Island which made the latest iPhones presented by apple famous.

For the rest, Galaxy A15 and A25 they do not present any particular revolutions in terms hardware: we find a display Super AMOLED from 6.5 inchesand a module with three cameras rear, of which the main one will be able to shoot 50 megapixels.

The two devices will be announced exclusively for the market Vietnamese and will be available for purchase from next December 16th. The prices correspond to the equivalent of around 190 euros for Galaxy A15 and of around 250 euros for A25. We’ll see if they arrive in our area too.
