Let’s get back to talking about Nothing, the company that debuted in the smartphone sector last year with devices with an eclectic design. In fact, there are some important innovations on the horizon in the smartphone segment.
In fact, we know that Nothing will be present at the next one Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, one of the most important technology fairs of the year. The company will be there because it will most likely present a new smartphone model.
We are talking not about the successor to Nothing Phone 2 (which you see in the cover image) but about Nothing Phone 2a. From the name we are led to hypothesize that it will be a device slightly lower range compared to the current Nothing models, even if the rumors regarding the technical data sheet they don’t fully confirm this hypothesis.
In the last few hours, further details have emerged which allow us to more accurately outline the profile of Nothing Phone 2a. These concern the launch price and were shared by the well-known and reliable leaker Roland Quandt.
According to Quandt, Nothing Phone 2a will arrive in Europe at a price less than 400 euros.
This price should refer to the basic variant, i.e. the one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There will also be a variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The colors will be Black And White. According to what Quandt reported, Nothing Phone 2a will be aimed primarily at consumers European marketswhile it remains to be seen whether it will also arrive in the United States.
In short, Nothing Phone 2a could appear on the market with one discreet technical data sheetgiven that it includes a photographic sector similar to that of Phone 2 and a display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. All at a price under 400 euros, certainly uncommon considering the current panorama. Among its hypothetical direct opponents we can consider Pixel 7a, which arrived on the market for 509 euros.
Of course, it is also necessary to recognize that Nothing has chosen a processor MediaTek Dimensity 7200and not one of the newer Snapdragon series.
We will have to understand if in terms of performance the performance will be at the same level as Nothing Phone 2. We will have all the necessary confirmations in a few weeks, the Barcelona event will take place in the end of February.
