Update for Android Auto: waiting for two new features, Google focuses on bugs

Google, in the last year, has accelerated the release of updates for Android Auto, however with a big “but”. In fact, the Mountain View giant does not release a changelog of these updates, therefore complicating the understanding of possible innovations. The same thing also happened when the ad update was released Android Auto 10.9launched in stable version after the release of the beta.

The first users who tried this new version of Android Auto, at least at first glance, did not notice major differences compared to the past, also because probably Google has focused more on fixing bugs and critical issues. In particular, this latest version does not include one of the innovations that the company is working on, namely the possibility of use the same wallpaper on both Android Auto and mobile devices. It is therefore assumed that this feature is still in the testing phase, so it may take some time before the company starts to officially release it.

Google is also developing an easier way to disconnect a smartphone from the head unit when running Android Auto wirelessly. In particular, a disconnect button will be added in the notification center of your smartphone: By pressing this button, the wireless connection will immediately cut off, allowing users to connect via Bluetooth or connect another smartphone in the car.
