Galaxy S24 who? We’ve been hearing about the new thing for months Galaxy A55which promises to further improve the excellent Galaxy A54 with key updates both from the point of view of materials that of performance (if you are looking for a samsung phone, take a look at our constantly updated list of the best on the market: you will find offers for all budgets!).
Now the device, of which practically all is known specifications and whose appearance we know thanks to renderings, appeared in the first live images thanks to Mukul Sharmaaka Stufflistings on X.
Galaxy A55 it is very similar to the Galaxy A54, but as we were saying it presents a key update from the point of view of materials, as we now have a metal frame instead of a plastic one. This simple but important touch will improve the sensation of premium device, and better matches with the glass back.
The new device features the new design language Key Island from Samsung which debuted at the end of last year with the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 and comes in the form of a relief on the edge, in the position where the volume and power buttons are located.
In the photos we can see the colors black, blue and white of the phone, although we know there will be at least one other color option.
As regards the specifications, Mukul Sharma it roughly confirms what we previously knew from other previews. As we can see, the most interesting update concerns the SoC, which will move to the 1480 chip.
Thanks to a GPU based on AMD’s RDNA2 graphics architecture, this could be the most powerful chip ever seen in a mid-range Samsung smartphone, at least when it comes to gaming.
Other features are the triple camerawith a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra wide angle and a 5 MP macro, coupled with a front camera 32 MP.
Galaxy A55 should be equipped with one drums from 5,000 mAh with support for 25W charging, while we expect it to arrive on the market with Android 14 and One UI 6.1although we don’t know if it will receive at least some of the Galaxy S24’s AI features, let alone the promise of seven years of OS updates.
