Apple announces the extension of the Self Service Repair service with an unprecedented diagnostic procedure

news coming soon for Apple users. The Cupertino company has announced an extension of the service Self Service Repair and an unpublished one diagnostic tool which should guarantee more transparency and autonomy in resolving critical issues.

Proceeding in order, Self Service Repair is now also available to all iPhone 15 and for i Mac with M2 processor, including MacBook Pro 14″ and 16″, MacBook Air, Mac mini, Mac Pro and Mac Studio. Furthermore, Apple highlighted that the service is available in 24 new European countriesstarting with Croatia, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal and Switzerland (ensuring full support for 35 products in 33 countries and 24 languages).

Moving on to the release of Apple Diagnostics for Self Service Repair, it is a tool dedicated to users who already have skills and experience in repairing Apple devices. The tool, currently only available in United States (in Europe will arrive next year), will offer the same possibilities reserved for Apple Authorized Service Providers as well as independent repairers, with options capable of testing the optimal functionality of performance and components present in the various products: in this way it will be possible to identify the component to be repaired .

As for how it works, first things first put the device into diagnostic mode. Next, you will need to enter its serial number into another device and then follow Apple’s instructions. The various tests include checking the hardware version as well as the software, plus identifying problems related to the display, camera, Face ID and audio.
