Okay, few will be able to buy it, and in any case dear price, but we’ve been hearing about it for so long that now all Apple fans can’t wait for the new AR/MR viewer VisionPro you arrive on market. If only to read some review (do you know what the difference is between virtual and augmented reality?).

Now, after a succession of rumors that had spoken of a launch a January 2024then of delays, denials by the same Tim Cook and new leak on a referral to March because of problems, Mark Gurman addresses the issue head-on, declaring that Apple is increasing the production, with the idea of a launch for February.

The journalist of Bloomberg states that we should not expect another launch event after the presentation at WWDC last June, but nevertheless the device will finally arrive on the market.

There production in China it has been going on “full speed” for weeks, and the same developers they were put on alert, via a note sent just yesterday telling them to “getting ready”, both for apps specially made for virtual and mixed reality, and for iPad and iPhone apps, which will be compatible with Vision Pro but still require a check to make sure everything is working properly.

Apple’s idea, second Gurman, is to prepare the employees of the Apple Store for introducing the headset to customers, not only regarding questions, but also the assembly and the regulation of prescription lenses. For this reason, the Apple company aims to have the retail units ready by the end of January.

Let’s remember that Vision Pro will cost well $3,499 at retail, and it will still have a limited supply, but being able to present it is an important moment for Apple, given that it represents the first launch of a new platformhardware and software, for years (since the days of the Apple watch).

However, the Cupertino company is already looking to the future, and Gurman reports that the next Vision Pro, probably cheaper, should arrive as early as 2024 with the new iOS And macOS.

According to Gurman, this acceleration by Apple in the new sector is also supported by the presence in iOS 17.2 of a function that allows the new iPhone 15 Pro to record space videos encoded in 3D at 1080p and 30 frames per second, which means you’ll need a headset to see them.

And the journalist’s idea is that it would make little sense to launch a function intended for just a few devices.

Let’s not forget: Apple’s idea, or rather obsession, is to launch the iPhone of the new decade.
