ChatGPT launches a new feature “to celebrate” the return of its CEO

It’s incredible what’s happening at the top of OpenAI. After dismissals, resignations and various indiscretions, Sam Altman he will return to being the CEO of the company that created the ChatGPT artificial intelligence system. In particular, the company announced that it had found a provisional agreement for the return of Altman as well as for the replacement of some members of the Board of Directors who, we recall, fired the CEO on Friday without too many explanations.

Going into the details of the news, after Altman’s dismissal, investors and employees began to put pressure on top management of the company so that they could retrace their steps. Specifically, after Microsoft’s announcement – which would have hired Altman – all OpenAI employees they called for his return and the resignation of the Board of Directors, threatening to resign if these demands were not met. These two requests, therefore, have been accepted: Altman will return, while the new Board of Directors will be composed of Bret Taylor, Larry Summers and Adam D’Angelo (the latter is the only “survivor” of the previous CDA).

By the way, even the former president Greg Brockmanwho resigned in protest against Altman’s dismissal, will return.

To celebrate this return of Altman, the company announced that ChatGPT’s voice feature is available for free for all users. Specifically, users will be able to press the headphones icon to use their voice to speak to ChatGPT in the mobile app, as well as get an audible response.
