NVIDIA could launch the new GeForce RTX 40 Super sooner than expected

The news about a month ago that NVIDIA would have anticipated the launch of the new ones GeForce RTX 40 Super at CES 2024 it had taken everyone by surprise (in a good way), but apparently the American giant was planning to steal everyone’s show and move up, albeit slightly, the presentation (by the way, take a look at our constantly updated list of the best video cards).

To reveal it, the leaker Hassan Mujtabawhat about X published a short but eloquent post: “it’s true” (it’s true) and the dates ofJanuary 8 he was born in January 17th below the writing 4070 Super.

January 8th (11am Italian time) refers to submission datejust one day before the kick-off of CES 2024 (which will take place in Las Vegas from 9 to 13 January 2024), while January 17 (3pm Italian time) concerns the arrival on the market.

The news is also confirmed by others previews revealed by sites like EN Home And EXPreview, which reported the same presentation date for the new ones GeForce RTX 4080 Super And GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Supereven if the arrival on the market of these cards will take place in stages.

There GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super will hit shelves on January 24th and the GeForce RTX 4080 Super on the 31st of the same month.

What about specs and pricing? Nothing has been confirmed yet, but according to i rumor there GeForce RTX 4080 Super should be equipped with one AD103 GPU and slightly faster memory than its predecessor, but will retain the 320W TGP. The price is very attractive, as it is expected to cost between $999 and $1,099, which will knock the RTX 4080 out of the competition.

There GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super could be equipped with AD103-275 GPU or AD102-175 with 8448 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR6X memory. The price is said to be between 799 And $849which will force graphics card manufacturers to phase out the non-Super version or significantly reduce its price.

Finally the GeForce RTX 4070 Super should be based on AD104-350 GPU or AD103-175 with 7168 CUDA cores, significantly more generous than the 5888 CUDA cores of the non-Super version, while the price will be between $599 and $649, which will mean, again, that the GeForce RTX 4070 will be immediately off the market.

But it’s not over. According to the latest rumor, there GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (AD106, 4352 CUDA cores) could cost as little as $399, while at the opposite end of the spectrum the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti (AD102, 18176 CUDA cores, news unconfirmed) should be close to $1,599.

Obviously we are always in the field of rumor, so take this information with the right dose of skepticismbut in about three weeks we will have the answer to all our doubts.
