Flipside, the new function with which Instagram wants to put an end to the posturing

Well, this vision could become a reality thanks to the new feature that Instagram is considering called flip side. This feature would change the way you share private content, eliminating the need to lock your account.

The Instagram function to avoid posturing

Flipside is a feature in development that allows you to create a private space on your profilewhere you can share more personal photos with your closest friends.

Simply put, it’s like having a second account, but without the stress of managing two profiles.

The reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi discovered the information about this feature and shared screenshots and interesting details about this new option.

Paluzzi discovered that Flipside was originally called Your Space and that it has been in development since at least September 2022, so its launch would be closer than ever.

According to TechCrunch, you could have a private profile on Instagram, different from the one your followers see. You could choose a different photo, name, and bio, and only people you authorize would see it.

To access someone’s private profile, you would just have to swipe down on their public profile.

Of course, everything you publish on flip side would have to comply with Instagram’s community guidelines, to ensure a safe environment.
