Here are the Galaxy AI functions that will arrive on older Samsung smartphones

When Samsung announced its new Galaxy S24 smartphones, it added that some features of Galaxy AI they would also arrive on older devices. In this sense, in recent hours the company has been even more precise. In particular, Samsung UK would have confirmed at least four features coming to devices like the series Galaxy S23. It’s about Circle to Search, Live Translate, Note Assist and Photo Assist.

Going into the details of the story, Circle to Search allows you to circle or select any item on the screen and launch a related Google Search. Live Translate, however, delivers real-time translations during telephone conversations. Note Assist allows you to create AI summaries, providing automatic formatting. Finally, Photo Assist implements generative editing features in the Gallery app.

Previously, Samsung made it clear that the Galaxy S24’s AI features would be coming to the series Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 and Galaxy Tab S9 by the first half of 2024 (probably together with the One UI 6.1 update).

As for Galaxy AI’s other features, Samsung UK made no mention of them. Therefore, it can be assumed that, at least for the moment, on older smartphones options such as generative wallpapers, chat assist and much more will not arrive.
