The Galaxy S24 will put AI at the service of the camera, also to remove objects. Does it remind you of anything?

It seems that samsung is aggressively blocking all previews regarding the new ones Galaxy S24but true to its name the leaker Arsène Lupine (@MysteryLupin) has once again managed to surprise the Seoul giant (do you know how to activate Suspected Samsung spam?).

After having published (and then removed) new ones Images of the next tops of the brand, the indefatigable Lupine has now shared what it looks like on X material marketing that describes what’s new on devices. Among these, an AI-related function that allows you to remove images from the photos, just like Magic Eraser dei Pixels.

But let’s go in order. In the post the leaker shows a series of new AI-related features Galaxy S24which will apparently go under the brand umbrella Eureka AI (curiosity name, also used by NVIDIA for a GPT-4-based algorithm intended for training robots).

Among these, we find the already anticipated function Live Translateor real-time translation, which allows you to translate a phone call using artificial intelligence.

There is also the unpublished Nightography Zoomwhich apparently thanks to AI improves low-light photos when zoomed in, an interesting solution since telephoto lenses are not used with few light.

But the most interesting feature is the one called Generative Editingwhich allows you to move or remove objectsbeyond fill in blanks. The solution, at least as regards the removal of objects, closely resembles the Magic Eraser (Magic eraser) of the Pixel 8.

And the similarity is not limited to the functionality itself, but also to some features of the technology. As indeed Magic Eraserwhich requires a Google Photos backup and a Internet connection (a rather controversial requirement when the news was announced), too Generative Editing requires account access Samsung and the Internet connection.

This means that AI photo editing will not happen on the device, and this despite the artificial intelligence capabilities on the device Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are in theory far better than chips Tensor by Google.

Other news in leaks, which concerns the new ones Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+ And Galaxy S24mention the 200 megapixel main camera of the first ones and praise the new (almost) flat screen.

At the moment the post it’s still active, but given Samsung’s aggressiveness in having previous previews, regarding images and specifications, removed, we can’t bet on it. We are certain of one thing though. Given that at the launch of the new ones Galaxy S24 there are still more than two weeks left (they should be presented on January 17th), this rat hunt will continue for some time to come.
