Google Chrome, one of the most used browsers worldwide, has just introduced a series of updates that were created with the aim of improve the browsing experience, increase security and give users greater control over the state of their browser.
The main feature of this update is “Proactive Security Checking”. Starting with version 120, the Chrome security check on desktop will now run automatically in the background.
This function will send alerts to inform the user if any password stored in Chrome has been compromised or if any installed extension is potentially harmful.
Additionally, Security Check will automatically revoke permissions granted to sites that have not been visited for a while, ensuring finer control over privacy and security.

Another major improvement is in Chrome’s memory saver mode, which now gives more information when hovering over a tab. Additionally, a new configuration has been incorporated that makes it easier to tell Chrome that certain sites should not go to sleep.
Google has also announced the ability to save groups of tabs, a feature that will roll out in the coming weeks.
This feature will allow users to store specific sets of tabs to sync between their desktop devices. The truth is that it is especially useful for those who switch between a PC at home and a laptop on a regular basis.
Finally, Google has also announced that it plans to integrate features powered by Gemini, its new artificial intelligence model, into Chrome early next year.
