Google Maps includes a traffic accident memorial on its maps to raise awareness among the population

The great and tragic problem of road accidents sadly continues to exist, destroying the lives of those involved. This is why, in response to this situation, StopAccidentes has launched the Memorial Route project, an initiative that not only honors the victims, but also seeks to raise awareness in society about the tragic road accidents, all from Google Maps.

Inspired by true stories, this project Use Google Maps’ Add Place feature to create a digital map filled with memorials located precisely where lives were lost.

During July and August of this year, Spanish roads witnessed the tragedy, with 243 lives lost in traffic accidents, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
