Google presents the new Titan Keys: new challenge to security threats

Google is very active in many sectors of technology and, in addition to being a point of reference in the Android panorama, we know that it also plays an important role in the field software.

Precisely on the subject of software, and above all security, Google has just renewed its Titan security keys. These are devices that have been on the market for several years now, and which have always been synonymous with extreme security.

Over the last year we’ve seen Google introduce the concept of passkeys across all major platforms, including PCs and smartphones. This is part of Google’s commitment to zero need for passwords, thus eliminating them completely. And for those who need something even more secure than passkeys, there are Google’s Titan Keys.

Google keys allow you to access any service connected to yours Google accounts simply by inserting the key into the PC from which you intend to access, and then entering a PIN set during initialization by the owner.

The new version of Google’s Titan Keys, as you can also see from the images in gallery, arrives with a slightly revised design. There are always two models, one USB-A is one USB-C. Compared to previous generations we find a larger memory, which will allow us to store more than 250 passkeys unique.

Also for the new Titan Keys we obviously find the Integrated NFC module. These devices obviously make sense to protect yourself from attacks on your account, like those of phishing. Precisely for this reason, Google has decided to donate 100,000 of the new Titan Keys to users who carry out tasks all over the world professions considered at risk in terms of cybersecurity, such as campaign workers, activists and journalists.

The new Titan Keys are available upon purchase Also in Italy on the official Google store. For both models the launch price corresponds to 35 euros.
