Google TV sees important innovations coming, also for the Achilles’ heel of Chromecasts

For some time now, Google has also been offering its software services on smart TVs, thanks to the Google TV platform launched together with the new generation of devices Chromecast.

In the last few hours Google has published an interesting content on its official blog which aims to summarize what has been done so far with Google TV, while also leaving room for what we’ll see in the near future in terms of new features.

Google has in fact reported that it is working on important ones optimizations for Google TV. Some will arrive for the RAM managementwhich should make system apps lighter in computational terms, as it should make it more fluid managing the uploading of suggestions and personal content.

In other words, we can expect improvements in terms of fluidity throughout the Google TV interface, even on devices that they are not particularly gifted in terms of RAM.

In addition to this, there will also be some news for the management of the internal storageone of the weakest points of Chromecasts with Google TV, which easily saturate the available internal space.

Such improvements should pay off less expensive pre-installed apps, especially unused ones, in terms of occupied internal memory.

There will also be some news for the Live tab, which should have a two-column structure. In one of these there should be a list of recently viewed live channels. There will also be a section for local news, just as new free channels should arrive. What has just been mentioned, especially the part relating to free channels and local news, it is not certain that it will reach everyone globally, as these may be features dependent on local service providers.

The news we have just described should arrive within the next few monthsGoogle has not commented on the timing.
