GTA 6 compatibility for consoles and PC: bad news…

Like any self-respecting first trailer, the one for GTA 6 also revealed precious information on the compatibility of the new Rockstar Games title, which, we remember, will not arrive until sometime in 2025. However, the point here is another: Where will it be possible to play GTA 6 at launch?

The list is unfortunately very limited. GTA 6 will be launched for PS5 And Xbox Series. No PC, even if the arrival on Windows is practically a given, as has already happened in the past for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2: we will just have to wait (probably) another year.

In other words, the only way to playing GTA 6 immediately will be via next-gen consoletherefore excluding PS4 and the first Xbox: a very limited list, but Rockstar itself confirms it in a press release that leaves no room for doubt: “Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to PlayStation® 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series“The fact that there isn’t even half a mention of Windows leaves no room for any hope, also because otherwise it wouldn’t have made sense to exclude it like this.

After all, the previous ones implied the same thing: PC players also had to wait for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, but this also means that it might take up to 3 years starting today before being able to play it anywhere other than on next-gen consoles. Not exactly the best news we would have liked to give you.
