LEGO celebrates 85 years of Batman with a spectacular 4,200-piece set: Gotham City Skyline inspired by the animated series!
Batman celebrates 85 years, but he is nowhere near retirement. The DC Comics hero is still alive and well, and every appearance of him in the world of film, video games or television is greeted by millions of fans with joy. LEGO had already paid homage to the Batman in the past with spectacular sets, such as the Shadow Box-style Batcave or the recent cheaper versions of the Batmobile and Batwing.
For the hero’s 85th birthday, LEGO worked in collaboration with Warner Bros. and DC Comics to pay homage not only to Batman, but also to the famous The Animated Series much loved by fans. This homage materialized in the set LEGO DC Comics Batman: Gotham City Animated Series #76271arriving very soon on the official LEGO Store!

The Gotham skyline
Batman: Gotham City Animated Series (76271) reproduces the skyline of the famous town theater of the events of the Batman stories, obviously taking inspiration from the graphics “dark deco” of the Animated Series.
Beyond 4 celebratory minifigures (Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn and Catwoman) and some removable elements, such as the Batmobile and the Batwing, the set includes several historic buildings who make their appearance in the series. These obviously include the Batcave, Arkham Asylum, Joker’s lair, the museum, the police station and many others. Some of these, as many as 15they are actually gods removable panels which, when removed, show the entirety of these buildings.

The end result is sort of 3D painting made up of 4,210 pieces to be displayed with a certain pride in one’s home, preferably in plain sight (mate or partner permitting). Everything comes to measure 76 centimeters wide by 41 high and 6 deep. Keep in mind that to assemble and finish everything you will also need two sets of stickers (obviously included in the package). The instructions are divided into two manualsso that two people can work on the set at the same time.
