LEGO winks at X-Men fans with the new X-Jet arriving very soon

At first glance the brand new set LEGO X-Jet from X-Men #76281 arriving in the very first days of 2024 seems to be inspired by the old X-Men animated series or comics from the 90s. In truth the model and the minifigures that accompany it are inspired by X-Men ’97a new animated series coming to Disney+ in the spring of 2024 which will be proposed as Direct sequel to X-Men: The Animated Series of 1992.

Here is the explanation of the retro look that will surely drive historical X-Men fans crazy. The new LEGO allows, with 359 bricksto build the X-Jet of the Marvel heroes, including a double cockpit, self-propelled parts that act as shooters and many other minifigure scale details. The X-Jet, once assembled, measures 30 centimeters long, 25 wide and 8 high.

In our opinion, however, the real highlight of the set are the 4 minifigures included.

For those wondering who the bold figure with the M on his chest is… well, it’s obvious that it’s Magneto, even if he’s in a rather outdated outfit for his character. Do you think that in the new season of the animated series he will take Xavier’s place at the helm of the X-Men. Hence perhaps the absence of the iconic helmet that usually protects Erik’s mind from Charles’ possible psionic attacks.

Alongside Magneto there are 3 old acquaintances of ours, much easier to identify given that there are no major changes in look: Wolverinewith the iconic yellow suit that we will soon see in Deadpool 3, Cyclops And Rogue.
