Microsoft will allow you to reinstall and repair Windows 11 without having to lose all your data and applications

The experience of reinstalling Windows, due to serious problems in the operating system, is usually a quite complicated task and, in many cases, involves a large loss of data and settings that makes the experience almost traumatic.

The “Reset this PC” option has been the basic alternative to reinstalling Windows, but its radical approach is still a problem.

Good news though because Microsoft is about to change this process with a new feature currently in development: “Fix problems using Windows Update”. This feature aims to simplify the reinstallation process, allowing users to restore Windows without losing applications, personal files, and user settings.

This new Windows 11 feature offers, so to speak, uAn intermediate solution that restores the operating system without deleting key elements. Although it is still in the development phase and it might take time before it is implemented for everyone, it sure is a big relief.

This feature will allow you to reinstall or repair Windows 11 directly using Windows Update

Currently, there is a way to do something similar to this, but you need a Windows installation boot drive in order to perform an update on site in the computer.

As the image menu explains, this new feature reinstalls the same version of Windows you’re currently running and does so without deleting any of your files or programs. The only caveat is that you may need to complete any pending updates before reinstalling.

From Windows Latest There is speculation that Microsoft could choose to implement this feature with the upcoming release of Windows 11 Moment 5, which is rumored for February or March 2024.
