Microsoft it is a point of reference in the software world of PCs and notebooks, given that its Windows has powered millions of devices around the world for decades. Its latest generation is Windows 11 but there are important innovations on the horizon.
But it’s not the next generation of Windows we want to talk about. This is because Microsoft also has its hands in the hardware sector with its own Surface. And precisely regarding the new Surfaces, some have arrived interesting news.
In fact, according to what was reported by Windows CentralMicrosoft in 2024 will renew significantly its Surface, a series of devices that has been waiting for a significant change of pace for some time. Specifically, they will be i Surface Pro And Surface Laptops to be updated.
For the first time Microsoft should adopt solutions Intel and Arm for both Surface Pro and Surface Laptop. We therefore expect 14th generation Intel and chips Qualcomm developed specifically for the next generation of Windows.
Speaking of devices, the new one will arrive Surface Laptop 6. This will have an updated design, with thinner bezels.
There will be a version with a 13.8-inch display, slightly larger 13.5 inches of the previous version, and the 15-inch one. Peripherals-wise, there will be two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, along with the Surface Connect magnetic charging port. For the keyboard there will even be a button dedicated to Copilot. In essence, the new Surface Laptop 6 should openly challenge MacBook Air.
Then the new will arrive Surface Pro 10. It will be a particularly renewed device, compared to the previous version, especially as regards the display sector. The panel will in fact be brighter, with support for HDR content. There will be a new anti-reflective coating, while the corners will be more rounded than what we see on the Surface Pro 9.
On some versions of the new Surface Pro, those intended for business users, it could even arrive NFC module and an updated webcam with a Wider FOV.
A keyboard with a dedicated Copilot button could also arrive for the Surface Pro 10.
At the moment there are no official details on when they will arrive these new devices. And it is not even excluded that other news will arrive compared to the two notebooks just mentioned. In fact, there could be room for a new device in the series Surface Laptop Go. We will update you again as soon as we know more.
