Next week you’ll have another excuse to watch Twitch

From November 28th to December 3rd, Twitch is committed to promoting the charitable fundraisers organized by the service’s content creators, putting them on display right on the site’s homepage and on its social channels.

The initiative in question, which will officially start next week, is part of the global event Together for Good organized by Twitch to celebrate the generosity of its community. A medium that over the years has allowed streamers to mobilize their fans, raising their awareness of causes and initiatives for good.

Just think that only in 2023 the Twitch community donated $400 million to charitya huge figure which, thanks also to this new initiative, is destined to grow significantly.

To give these initiatives the promised prominence, over the next week, Twitch will offer the opportunity to all streamers who use Twitch Charity, the fundraising tool integrated into the service that allows you to choose from tens of thousands of global charities, or up Tiltifyto appear on the homepage of the service.

It will be sufficient to include the hashtags #TogetherForGood or #Charity in the contents or title of your live streams during the days of the event.

Furthermore, throughout the week Twitch will highlight live shows for charities St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, committing to donate to the children’s hospital the same amount that will be raised by the community, up to 100 thousand dollars. Space will also be given to other organizations and charities, such as Movember, Games Done Quick, Cure Cancer’s Game On Cancer, Trans Lifeline and many others. All community donations will be processed by PayPal’s Giving Fund and Twitch will not receive any commission.

Viewers who donate more than $5 during the charity live shows during the week of the initiative will receive an exclusive badge for the chat. There will also be personalized Alerts, to allow streamers to best celebrate with their community when donations are made during the live broadcast.
