The new iPad Pro and iPad Air are bigger and thinner, for good reason

Things are moving significantly in the tablet segment at apple. The Cupertino company is preparing the launch of the new ones iPad Pro And iPad Air. The same devices for which interesting details have just been leaked.

In fact, according to what was reported by 9to5Macthe new tablets from Apple will offer some updated dimensions compared to previous models. Some changes justified by some hardware changesand which should have a positive impact on daily use.

The first interesting news is that for the first time Apple could offer iPad Air in two different sizes. The smaller one should not differ substantially from the current version. But the second will come with a diagonal display equal to well 12.9″. We expect that this version will be very similar, in terms of dimensions, to the iPad Pro.

As for the iPad Pro, two versions will arrive as for the previous generation. The most interesting change in terms of dimensions will be lo smaller thickness compared to previous models.

This is because Apple should integrate such a screen OLED instead of LCD. Definitely an update that will please users.

  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (current): 280.6mm x 214.9mm x 6.4mm
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (new): 281.5mm x 215.5mm x 5.0mm
  • 12.9-inch iPad Air (new): 280.6mm x 214.9mm x 6.0mm

According to what was reported by Bloombergthe new iPad Pro and iPad Air should officially arrive within March. So there are only a few weeks left until the debut. We will return to update you as soon as we have official details from Apple on the launch.
