Google’s new weather is no longer exclusive to Pixels

Over the last year we’ve seen some major refreshes coming to several of our products Google. We are referring as much to its smartphones and hardware devices as to its apps and software services.

And just during the year that is about to end we have seen a important update also get the entire Google weather graphical interface, which is also accessible from the widget on the home screen.

There new graphical interfacevery pleasant and consistent with the new guidelines of Material You, debuted in the second half of this year on Pixels. We are talking about Google smartphones and also about Pixel tablet, the first tablet to be marketed by BigG.

The news of the last few hours is that now even those who they don’t have a Pixels they will be able to enjoy the new Weather of Google, or the new graphic interface that you can also see in the cover image. According to reports emerging online, the first non-Pixel devices to receive it would be samsung smartphones and tablets.

The image which you find below shows the new Google Weather on a Samsung tablet. Let’s see it same graphic structure that we find on Pixels, new weather information such as those concerning precipitation, wind, humidity, UV index, pressure and sunrise and sunset times.

In the screenshot below, taken as mentioned on a Samsung device, the font is inconsistent with the Google Sans that we find on the Pixels, but this is obviously dependent on the system font which is used on Samsung models.

We can therefore expect the new Google Weather start to spread also on other devices, in addition to the Pixels and Samsungs that are receiving it at the moment. Let us know if it has already arrived in your area. As always happens in these cases, the distribution takes place via server and there are no app updates to force to receive it.
