Official: Tesla Cybertruck is the fastest pickup in the world

OK, Tesla it took a little longer than necessary (four years) to deliver the first one Cybretruck, but now that it’s here, those who have tried it can only admit that it is an exceptional electric vehicle (do you know how Tesla’s Smart Summon works?).

After the event of November 30th in which the first cars were delivered, the first road tests have flocked online, but this one by Jason Cammisa is really interesting. Not only because he compares the incredible and exclusive pick-up with competitors Rivian R1T And GMC Hummer EVbut also because it throws one into the pile DeLorean DMC-12 (the one from Back to the Future), a Lamborghini LM002a refrigerator it’s a go karting.

Let’s start immediately with the most important information: Cybertruck It’s fast, incredibly fast. In the video, Cammisa tried the version CyberBeast with three 845 HP engines, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds (2.6 o-60 mph), and has practically obliterated its rivals, which are still 1000 HP vehicles (Hummer) and 835 HP (Rivian).

The test was carried out with the original tyres, both on treated asphalt and normal. There is no story, Cybertruck leaves behind the two vehicles, which weigh between 800 and 1,500 kilos more than Tesla’s pick-up.

The most incredible thing is that these performances were detected not only with the charge of the full batterybut even halfway, and only with less battery there was a very slight drop in acceleration.

During the video, the Cybertruck passes one unscathed hammeredthen Camissa also shows a crash tests in the Tesla laboratories and launches comparisons with one DeLorean DMC-12 and even a Lamborghini LM002.

But an interesting point in the film concerns the savings that Tesla has made in terms of copper wires. Exact. Cybertruck goes to 800V, which allowed the current to be halved by keeping the voltage constant. And since the current determines the dimension of wires, we understand that with less current you need smaller diameter wires.

Which allows you to save.

But not only. Tesla has quadrupled the low voltagewhich means everything you previously needed 12V now needs 48V, and therefore four times less current. And so four times less copper.

Camissa also dwells on the four-wheel steering and on cable steering (steer by wire), as the Cybertruck is the first mass-produced vehicle without a physical connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels. This allows you to manage the turning radius by the computer, and modulate it based on speed.

We leave you with the video, Truly interesting and we recommend you see it in full.
