On WhatsApp it will be impossible to lose sight of important messages

We are closely interested in everything that happens for WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging platform that millions of people around the world now use from Android devices, iPhones and more.

In the last few hours Meta, which has owned WhatsApp for a few years now, announced a news of particular importance for its messaging app. We talk about the possibility of fix messages within the chats.

Pinning messages within messenger chats is a feature that can prove itself particularly usefulespecially in the very long-winded chat or in groups populated by many chatty users. If you have experience with Telegram, you will know what we are talking about and you have probably already tried it.

The message pinthat is, marking messages so that they always appear in the chat (usually at the top of the interface), is useful for always have at hand important messages. It can be useful, for example, to always have an important communication in the foreground that concerns all the users in the group, or information exchanged previously that can be useful at any time.

Meta has announced that the news is coming to WhatsApp, similarly to what has already happened for Facebook’s Messenger app. To pin a message with the classic pin will be enough select itusing the usual long press, and click on add to proceed to the pin.

The default setting is to pin messages in WhatsApp chats to 7 daysbut it will also be possible to select the fixing time a 24 hours or 30 days. As for chat groups, only the administrators they will be able to decide whether to make the message visible to other administrators or not.

WhatsApp reported that the news it would already be available for all its users. We therefore expect it to be arriving both for those who use WhatsApp from Android and for those who use it from iPhone. We haven’t received it yet, but we are confident it will arrive within the next few days.
