We have seen in recent years Google dedicate itself particularly to the wearable device segment, both from a hardware point of view where it launched its first Pixel Watches, and from a software point of view with the launch of new generations of Wear OS.
Google’s Pixel Watches are currently coming updated periodically exactly like Google smartphones. It’s a shame that in recent days some problems have emerged on Wear OS for Pixel Watch problems.
The issues we are talking about consist of bugs that concern the graphical interface of Wear OS. Specifically, it is a bug affecting the At a Glance widgetthe one that synthetically shows information on the date, temperatures and weather forecasts on the Pixel Watch.
The image which you find below shows how Pixel Watch users currently see the widget in question, to which they are missing important information, such as today, which instead should be there. In the figure on the left you find the widget in its original form, in the one on the right you see it affected by the bug we have just described.
The problems don’t end there: it seems like another bug involves the Gboard app for Wear OS, which is Google’s virtual keyboard that allows you to compose words and sentences on Google smartwatches. The bug consists unable to install the app updates correctly, with a popup describing the update installation error.
The Gboard version that seems to have this problem is the 2.5.07.555298297beyond which it is not possible to update.
We expect Google be aware of these problems and is working to resolve them. It’s difficult to say how this will happen, perhaps a small update for Wear OS.
