Six functions of Threads: from the most obvious to the most secret

A few days ago Italy Threads, the anti-Twitter app created by Instagram, has officially arrived. After the launch in the USA Last July, the new platform also debuted in Europe: the delay, for those who don’t know yet, was caused by the privacy laws in force on our continent. In any case, from December 14th you can also use Threads here with us.

By “combing through” the new Meta platform a little, it is possible to learn six functions which are quite interesting. The first concerns the insertion of hashtags. Unlike what you might think, it is not necessary to insert the pound sign but rather to press the appropriate icon (indicated by a pound sign) and then type the desired hashtag (you can also create new ones). The important thing is to remember that you can only insert one per post. Another useful function is the opportunity to look exclusively at the feeds of the users we follow: simply press on the Threads icon and select the “Already following” tab (or press the house icon at the bottom left).

Furthermore, by accessing the settings you can identify options that could be useful to us. The first – found in the account section – is known as “Reminder to take a break”: the platform will remind us to take a break every 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Also, right after that is the voice “Quality of multimedia content” (not activated by default): by checking this option, we will upload our contents in the highest quality. Finally, by going to the section focused on privacy, you can disable the functionality that allows the sharing of our Threads posts also on Facebook and Instagram.

And the sixth feature? It’s arriving right now, but it hasn’t reached all users yet. In any case, the platform will allow us to observe the number of views per single post.
