Multi-display support is also coming to the MacBook Pro M3

The new MacBook Air with M3 chip has a rather important functionality: in fact, for the first time the laptop is capable of manage two at the same time monitors external. The only compromise is that the MacBook Air will have to be closed to take advantage of this feature, but it’s still a big step forward.

In this regard, several users have wondered if multi-display support will also arrive on the MacBook Pro M3, presented last October and equipped with the same processor as the latest MacBook Air. In this sense, the Cupertino company has confirmed that a software update will be released for the 14″ model which will implement this functionality. The details on this update are not yet known, even if macOS Sonoma 14.4 is still in beta version. Therefore, after the update the Pro with M3 chip will also be able to power two 5K external displays with a resolution of up to 60Hz.

Finally, we would like to remind you that the new MacBook Air M3 was recently presented and is already available for purchase (with deliveries starting from March 8).

Compared to previous models, apple has guaranteed a leap forward in terms of performance and more. Among other things, after the arrival of the new laptop, the selling price of the previous 13″ MacBook Air with chip M2 was lowered to €1,249.
